On December 30th the province updated the guidance on covid-19 testing, for both rapid tests and PCR testing.
Rapid tests, if accessible, are recommended for symptomatic testing with no need to confirm results through PCR. Up to individual to then follow isolation guidelines and inform contacts.
PCR testing is no longer available to the general public and is being prioritized for those at increased risk of serious illness.
To leave isolation, fully vaccinated or under 12 years of age, must isolate for five days from the positive result if no symptoms, or from symptom onset, whichever is soonest, and until symptoms are improving for 24 hours (or 48 hours if gastrointestinal symptoms).
A Little About Us
Uxbridge Health Centre is a group practice of 10 family doctors and 1 paediatrician committed to the care of our special Uxbridge community.
We operate a walk-in clinic for urgent care and many of our physicians also work in the Emergency Department at the hospital, make house calls, visit nursing homes and provide home based palliative care. Dr. Mohile, our paediatrician, runs a paediatric walk-in clinic on Monday and Wednesday mornings.
Our Allied Health team is available to compliment your medical needs with, counsellors on site.
